Make your experience impossible to skim past.

A strong resume is not a complete history. It is a clear argument for why your next team needs what you already know how to do.

The four-part resume check

Use this pass before you worry about typefaces or templates. Every line should help a reader understand your value faster.

  • Positioning
Lead with the role you want, not the title you last held.
  • Evidence
Replace responsibilities with outcomes, scale, and decisions.
  • Signal
Use the language your target role uses without stuffing keywords.
  • Scanability
Give the eye a clean route through your strongest proof.
The build sequence

Draft in the order a hiring reader thinks.

  1. Choose the target
Write down the role, team, and business problem you want to solve.
  2. Gather the proof
Collect five moments where your work changed a result, reduced risk, or unlocked progress.
  3. Shape the story
Turn each moment into a concise action, method, and outcome.
  4. Cut and test
Ask someone outside your field to explain what you do after a 20-second scan.
