About this opportunity:
Looking for a Regulatory Approval and/or Safety engineer.
Radio Integration Verification and Certification (IVC) is a part of the Product Engineering Unit Radio (PEU Radio) within Business Area Networks.
IVC is the last step of the development cycle of new Radio HW/SW. Parts of the activities are done in collaboration with/and according to regulatory bodies/authorities globally to get approvals/certifications enabling market access.
Ericsson’s Radio portfolio is comprehensive, and the equipment is used for all Radio technologies such as GSM (2G), WCDMA (3G), LTE (4G), NR (5G) and future coming 6G.
The role at Regulatory Approval and Safety section is quite broad and calls upon different disciplines (RF, Safety, EMC and others), global markets access (North America, EU, Japan, India and others), communications with external test labs and authorities, collaborations internally within Ericsson (product management, system design, standardization, radio design, radio performance verification, project management and others).

What you will do:
- Prepare for and actively support projects during verification/certification process
- Review test reports
- Gather and share supporting documentation with applicable authorities (or representatives thereof)
- Communicate/cooperate with Ericsson internal organizations such as product design, system design, project management, product management, standardization, different parts of IVC as well as with external test labs and authorities.
- Participate, challenge and contribute in development of strategies to facilitate efficient RA/Safety approval/certification handling.
- Drive, participate and contribute to introduce/use automatization/ML/AI in our activities.
The skills you bring:
- An open, speak up and curious mindset, eager to collaborate, build and share competence.
- University degree (such as B.Sc. or M. Sc. or similar)
- Three or more years of professional experience.
- Knowledge/experience from any or some of listed disciplines/areas is preferable:
- Testing and standards related to EMC, Safety, RF (radio).
- Regulatory Approval handling for different markets.
- Experience from external test labs.
- AI/ML in general.
