Job Description

HR Assistant Manager

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.
  • Screen and shortlist applicants for initial interviews.
  • Facilitate interview scheduling and feedback collection.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires.

Employee Relations:

  • Address employee grievances and manage disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement and retention programs.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and maintain a positive work environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance and leave.
  • Ensure employees understand their benefits and resolve any related queries.
  • Assist in payroll processing and resolve related issues.

Training & Development:

  • Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Maintain records of employee training and professional development.
  • Assist in the evaluation of training programs and providers.

Performance Management:

  • Assist in the coordination of performance appraisal processes.
  • Provide support to managers and staff during performance review cycles.
  • Any other assigned ad hoc duties.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of working experience in Human Resources from the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge in various HR-related Acts.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Swahili.
  • Strong resilience, able to work under pressure.
  • Independent and able to work with minimal supervision and guidance.
